About Maris Sherwood

Maris Sherwood

Art is my passion. I draw and paint what I see, what I dream, what I want to share with others. I believe Art is a cultural expression of our society; it creates freedom of expression, inspires mental and spiritual peace, stimulates our minds, and our emotions; it encourages us to be more creative. It gives us beauty to warm our souls. Without Art life would be extremely boring! I have worked mostly with oils, but also used watercolors, pastels, and acrylics. I have just recently (November 2018) started working with colored pencils, which I have come to absolutely LOVE. Please check out my works, I hope you enjoy looking at them and maybe buy one if it speaks to you.
